Let there be peace and let it begin with me.........

You can't combine families in the same place and not expect some difficulties. However, thru the heartache of one of my beloved this week, we have so learned again that all things can be known, but there is no need to discuss it. No need to try to analyze it for those involved will spend many sleepless nights overanalyzing. However, just being there when asked, a quite accompliss to anothers feelings is a powerful help. Conversation can be good or deadly. Because after the heat is over and life resumes, all spoken words can't be undone. Being quiet doesn't mean you don't feel it, that you don't lament it, that you don't understand it... it just means at the end of the day, we don't have to regret spoken words.
They say when the going gets tough, the tough get going. I beg to differ. When the going gets tough around here, we dig in, grit our teeth, cry a little and hang on to each other for dear life. And above all, we hang on to God.

Our song is the barking of dogs ...... : )

Pulling up in front of our beautiful old Victorian home, you can just tell your gonna feel right at home. From the rockers on the wraparound porch to the lights on shining thier welcome..... but then theres the entrance in, the one where you are met with the earsplitting barking of what appears to be dozens of small animals ; ( however, it's the greeting of love by the three small dogs that make up the meet and greet committee of our home. These guys are sure already that you are there to meet and rub them down. You can't help but get caught up in the love : ) After that greeting, you meet the rest of the family, me - Julia aka: nana, Grandma (sigh of joy) or Mom; Popaw, Momaw and Tim, the brawn of the group, once you see him, no other explanation necessary. We have frequent visits from my oldest daughter Beth and my new beloved grandson, Constantine and my middle son Anthony. We have a 5 bedroom, 8000 square foot home that is always welcoming friends and family. We don't have much, but we share everything with everyone. We work hard always and when the opportunity arises to play, we have a blast. At any given time, dancing breaks out in the kitchen, singing in the hallways, and now, babies crying......... life just doesn't get any better than this.
